We have uploaded a new version of the Recorder, which fixes some problems when uploading games. Upgrade recommended to all streamers.

The servers are running fine, no server issues at all. We've never had so many users over such a long period of time on the servers. Sounds great, doesn't it?

Well, as you may have noticed, there are only very few games of the ESWC masters being streamed. Sadly, we have no control over this. But we're trying to contact the admins, to see whats going on.

Maybe we really need a french manual for the recorder :-D

That's it, the finals are over! We had some awesome games with great moments, and eventually MYM took the throne.

The new server system performed extremely well. There were some smaller issues on the server side of things, as usual when you set up a new system, but we were able to resolve them quickly.

The sour note is that the uploaders had some issues with their internet connection, hence the broken games and lags. The uploader's connection to the streaming server is a single point of failure, and naturally will always be. We will, however, do our best to make this process as robust and failsafe as possible.

The WC3L finals are on! Check out here for a german language shoutcast. At the moment the new server system is running very smoothly.

If you experience small lags during the games, this is due to the latency between the chinese uploader and the WTV servers. To avoid this, fast forward until you are live, and then use "/shift -10" to pause the game for 10 seconds, hence creating a 10 second buffer. This way you wont notice the small lags. If you are using the webclient, use "/pause" wait 10 seconds and finally type "/speed 1" instead of the (missing) sync command.

There was a small issue with the Webclient logging in to the new server system, it always got stuck at Handshaking state. That's fixed now!

We are currently in process of deploying a new distributed server system. We've taken the first steps to a new, better Waaagh!TV. So far it has worked very well and reliably, with some minor issues you may have experienced in the last few days, like the Webclient Gamelist issue. To use the new system, just connect to games.waaaghtv.com on port 10383, as you used to.

The Waaagh!TV project is again looking for a cabable graphics designer. If 2d designs are what you love and you even know about the creation of complete corporate designs then you are probably the right person to join our small family.

As there occur problems on some major events please internalize the following things.

When the WTV server is not responding for some time this does not mean it is down. There are at least three possible reasons:

1) Some data is missing, i.e. cause the internet connection between the streamer and the WTV Server is bad. In this case you will see a "Pausing due to lack of data from server" message. It may take from some seconds up to some minutes. Do not disconnect, but try to unpause the game after some time (/speed 1 in the normal client or F1 in the Webclient).

2) You are stuck at "authorizing" or you see a weird number in the Webclient instead of the gamename. This means, that some thousand people try to connect and that the database server is damn busy with all the requests. Do not disconnect and reconnect all the time then as this stresses the server even more. Just wait patiently. Additionally note, that most major events use the backup server at backup1.waaaghtv.com.
